About the Role

  • 6 Month Contract.
  • Remote Working.
  • Team of 3.

Description:
When I first joined the 3SSENTIA team as a UX/UI Designer, they were developing their MVP, had received funding, completed a startup accelerator in Germany, and were gearing up for another investment round in 6 months' time.

Scope of Work:

  • Utilizing Figma to create UX/UI prototypes and ideate on new features.
  • Improving the existing Design System in Figma according to the new brand and WCAG guidelines.
  • Developing an information architecture, as the existing system map was a series of wireframes and UI screens.
  • Creating a component library and design system that the developer could use.
  • Design reviews and feedback meetings were conducted twice weekly. This was necessary due to the MVP stage requiring ongoing testing, user interviews, and incorporation of continuous feedback.

Design System:
When I joined 3SSENTIA their design system, components, style sheets, and brand were fragmented. My first task was organizing everything in Figma and creating backups on separate cloud storage locations. I created two different Figma files, one for documentation of fixed assets such as components, style sheets, typography, and user flows. A second file was used for live assets, such as a design copy of the live application and individual pages for each new feature in testing.
